Mid Week - Balance

The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers
around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.

Life is a balancing act, especially for women.  We are Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Boss, Chef, Taxi, Entertainment Committee, Business Owner, College Student, Spiritual Leader, Seamstress, Dietitian, Organizer, Fashion Designer, Teacher, Nurse, Disciplinarian, Decorator, and that is just our schedule before noon.  It is a wonder we don't lose our mind or footing as we run around in high heels.  The past few days have been hectic for me because my son has been sick.  I'm trying to take care of him, work, and not neglect my daughter through the process.  I am blessed with a wonderful extended family who has been so helpful.  I'm speaking in faith that my son will soon get better!

A well balanced life is essential for personal effectiveness, peace of mind and living well.  The key is learning to balance what we must do with what we enjoy to do.  Take care of and nurture yourself.  Know yourself and how much rest, food and exercise you need to function at your best.  Make time for yourself.  Know what your priorities are.  Create an efficient mindset.  Keep your mind alert and in shape. Expect the unexpected.  Maintain a positive mental attitude.  Stay connected with family and friends. Do something spontaneous.

  1. I agree balance is so important -- and so very elusive to find and/or maintain. Odd how something that seems like it should be easy is, in reality, so difficult!

  2. I agree with you 100% it is impossible to neglect our duties and tasks or else they would pile up. I always give myself a little mental pep talk to motivate me throughout the day and knowing the reward is to get home and enjoy my family. It is hard but someone has got to do it. Hope your son gets better.
