Local Lenten Specials

I strongly believe in supporting your local community, local business owners, and local farmers.  Gruene, Texas is one of my small communities with downtown being just 5 minutes from my house.  It is a small Historic town that has come back to life.  It is beautiful year round with seasonal flowers, a gorgeous winding river, and lots of welcomed visitors.  We try to stay local as much as possible when dining out and when I shop at boutiques.   I hope you do the same in your community.

Keeping local is a sure way to invest back into your community. It helps increase jobs and wages, and builds a stronger tax base which can benefit municipal services. Staying local also inspires local artisans and entrepreneurs to offer unique products and services. By switching a small percent of your spending dollars from national to local, it vastly increases a community's income.  Go out and build local character and prosperity in your neighborhood. It is also a great way to mingle with friends and neighbors; and your kids will grow to care for their community.
