One of my favorite magazines for years has been Country Living. I grew-up in a country setting and my father grew plants and vegetables year round. He had fresh peppers, both spicy and sweet. We would go out to our back yard to pick limes and whatever was in season. He was an expert as raising oak trees and palms trees. One year he even planted grapes that caught a lot of people's attention. My mother is a fantastic cook, something that I didn't inherit. She used to bake from scratch. We had delicious biscuits and tortillas on a regular basis. She also did a lot of sewing when I was young. The amazing part is that she did this while working full-time and raising 5 kids.
Country Living has a section, Women Entrepreneurs. In all of us women is an entrepreneurial spirit. It is the one that allows us to manage a household within a budget and expand creativeness in business. I'm inspired when I hear stories about simple women who reach extraordinary goals. Life is filled with opportunities and resources that are meant to build up our spirit. We are all connected somehow in this world. By reaching deep within our self we can find the purpose in our journey. It is by faith and courage that we live, one step at a time towards greatness in God's honor. As for me, I'm just a simple single mom. There is nothing fancy about my looks or extravagant in my talent. I just live by faith that God said he would guide me. I live by courage in every step even when I'm most afraid. I want to learn more and grow wiser; and I invite you every day to take the same journey.
