It is football season and it that means fun with family & friends!! We are eating delicious finger foods, bbq, and cool drinks. Don't even come around if you're on a diet because you will be tempted. We've got buffalo wings, pizza, nachos, and burgers. We might let a veggie tray sneak in the door but only if it has a side of ranch dip.
I was raised in a football lovin' family. My dad was an NFL man who loved to watch the sport. I remember watching football since a very young age. I remember the power-house Pittsburgh Steeler, the awesome Washington Redskins, and my dad's favorite, the Dallas Cowboys. My mom is a die-hard college football fan. She knows the teams and players stats. I think it is awesome that she gets so much into the game. Living in Texas we are Texas Longhorn fans, but we can't help but love our Texas Aggie friends too. And of course Texas High school Football is a legend. We all grew-up being part of team and enjoying life under the Friday night lights.
Football season is here!

Born in Canada (where football is a little weird), grew up in South Georgia (where the Friday Night Lights are burned into my retina), college at UGA (Goooooooooo DAWGS, sic 'em!!) ...now back in Canada but we buy the special satellite package (we actually GOT the darn thing just for this) so we can see ALL the college games. Hubby is from GA (only he's a GTech fan!! OH NO!), my mom and dad are big fans...I now have small kids and I am shedding a tear to know that we won't have football games to go to every Friday night when they're in high school. Love LOVE that aspect of community in the South. Wow, I ramble!! Great post.
