My gratitude today is about the time I have been spending with my Aunt Connie. Six months ago I relocated near to where she lives. I've been spending a lot of time together on weekends. Connie is vibrant, beautiful, and caring. She took me to the Downtown Antique Mall in New Braunfels, Tx where I bought the white vintage gloves pictured below. Connie inspires me to appreciate life and find beauty in the simple things. I look up to her with admiration and appreciation. I am so grateful to God for giving me time with her.

The vintage white gloves are made of leather and the inside lining is so soft. They are in great condition, and I got them at a huge bargain. I love antiques but I buy them only when the price is low and affordable. I'm patient and will look around until I find that one perfect thing for me.

My goal this summer is to spend time outdoors visiting old church missions in Texas. There are several San Antonio Missions I want to visit; the San Jose, San Juan, Concepcion, and Espada. They have so much history to offer, and most historical missions are free. Look around your area and find historic places where you can take your family. Family time is priceless.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

  1. Hi Yoli,

What a great find - the gloves are in such great condition! How fun to get to hang with your aunt - it's always nice to have someone to shop with, too!

  2. HI Yoli,
Thanks for being a loyal Wednesday Gratitude participant. I appreciate your friendship so much!
The gloves are beautiful, I can imagine how soft the leather is and I love the white, very elegant. Do they fit you? I love using vintage things in my day to day life, for example I carry my mom's alligator bag with me on special occasions. It makes me feel like Audrey Hepburn!
Spending time with family, and rekindling relationships with older relatives is a wonderful blessing. so glad you are having lots of fun time with your aunt.

  3. Those gloves are so pretty! Don't you wish we still lived in that time where a lady wouldn't think of leaving the house without wearing gloves?! Definitely a simpler time!
    Happy WW!
