Spiritual Sunday ~ Pray for our Military

It is Spiritual Sunday and time to share stories and reach our for prayers. My post today is dedicated to our Military. I don't have a family member who is serving in our military. I haven't lost someone in battle. But, I wake up each day in a free country where I can enjoy my day, see my kids go off to school, and spend quality time with friends & family. All of these things are possible because of the service and sacrifice of our military. Lets not get so busy in our life that we forget those who serve for our security. Lets stand together in faith and kneel together in prayer.
.
Dear Heavenly Father God, I come to you in prayer for our military. I place each one of them in your precious hands and I ask that you send to them your military of angels to protect them. My heart felt prayers go to their families who carry the load back home and wait in anticipation for their safe return. Their sacrifice is never in vain and I am appreciative every day of their service. Please guide them with courage, love, and faith. ~ Amen ~

Years ago I read the book The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. It gave me a basic understanding on how people have a primary way of expressing and interpreting love. It is so amazing how our Military show their love for us in all the languages.

In prayer and love,
Yoli :)

  4. Thank you for remembering our brave men and women in service. I live in a military town- Naval Air Station Whidbey. Although neither Ron or I are in the military (or have been) we know those who are. The sacrifices these families make is tremendous. I thank God for our freedom and pray that He keeps them safe.

  5. A beautiful prayer. My son is in the coast Guard and recently returned from helping the people of Haiti. It was quite a trip for a boy/man of only 19 years old and I appreciate every prayer that is said for our military force. I know I pray every day for those who serve our country and the families who love them at home.
