Thankful Thursday ~ Get Your Craft On

It is Thankful Thursday at Women Taking A Stand with Laurie. Go on over to share inspirational time with friends. I am also joining in for the first time at Life as Lori, where it is Get Your Craft on Thursday.
.
This week I want to honor my aunts, who are I consider the ultimate "Spanish Senoritas". I am so thankful that I come from a big family. I have 5 aunts and I adore them all. I grew-up around huge family parties and gatherings of friends. My aunts have the most radiant personalities. They are my inspiration for many of my sewing designs. I want to capture the essences of my heritage and celebrate the diversity through my craft.

.
Here is one of my Arts & Craft; it is a reversible apron that I made. I use this fabric a lot, sometimes just in small touches to my craft projects. The fabric depicts exactly how I saw my aunts; vivacious, classy, and charismatic. My sewing craft is my way of keeping my heritage alive and honoring my beautiful aunts.
.
Have a great Thursday!

  5. What a beautiful apron. What a great idea to have it reversible. You amaze me, work full time, single mother of 2 teens, and you make beautiful aprons on top of it all. Yep, I would say you have the Lord on your side :)
