Friday ~ Family & Festivals

I am dedicating my blog entry to my youngest sister Jessica. In 2008, Jessica invited me to join her in business at JOY Marie's Boutique, an online store. She had already been making jewelry for years, so I became her apprentice. Jessica motivated me to find great joy in my work, and it was because of her that I was able to rediscover my love for sewing. We spent many times making jewelry on Saturday night, which we call "Beads & Eats". During our time together we laughed, cried, and created special memories.

Tomorrow, Jessica and I will be in Harlingen, TX at Jackson Street Market Days. It is a street wide festival of local artisans, crafters, and vendors. We have done a few festivals and market days, and I would brag to say that we are improving in our preparation, setup, and sales. This is our first time in Harlingen and we look forward to it. I'm sure we will have lots of fun!!
.
If you have time, drop by to meet my sister Jessica, she is just a blast of energy and creativity.

Happy Friday!! ~ Yoli :)
