Wednesday - A Hill Country View

Living in central Texas gives me the perfect opportunity to visit many of the Texas towns.  The Texas Hill Country is vast with natural attractions from rivers, plains, forests, lakes, and big open skies.  It is a place to be enjoyed.  On weekends, the roads are filled with bikers our for a drive, and lakes are filled with families enjoying the cool Texas waters.    There are Texas vineyards and hunting land.  Little towns are tucked away like gold waiting to be found.  Many visitors come to the Texas  Hill Country, a place that I now call my home.  There are seasonal events for shopping, crafter markets, and local produce vendors.  A couple of weeks ago I went to Wimberly, Texas.  It is a gorgeous recreational place where visitors can go hiking, fishing, swimming, camping, and shopping.  Here are some pictures of the Christmas decorations that I took during my last visit to Wimberly.

  6. These pictures are really lovely. It makes me nostalgic for where I used to live where we were just a an hour or so away from towns just like that. There is nothing like that where I live now - all I have is Target, WalMart, Kmart. Ugh! Its the anti-charming village! ;)
