This weekend I blog from South Texas where I'm visiting my family. I join Pink Saturday where I share a picture of my grandmother dressed in pink. I also join my Christian Sisters at Spiritual Sunday and submit a prayer request for my grandmother.
.
..
My grandmother "Celedonia" is not in good health so in time will be going to heaven. We didn't know if she would make it through the night but she is still holding on. She is resting comfortably at home under the loving care of my mother and sisters. I know that life is a process that has an earthly start and end. With God's comfort we prepare through this time. Grandmother helped raise us because my mother was a career woman. I remember going to her house after school and smelling fresh home-made tortillas. We would get a hot tortilla and add butter. It was a delicious treat. I also remember her taking us to the corner store to buy coloring books. She would color with us with such joy.
.
Please pray for my grandmother that her passage to heaven be in God's time and with his love and mercy.
"A Grandmother's love is very dear, part of a beautiful plan that began in God's heart."
.
Thank you and God Bless You!
Yoli :)

Yoli, what a sweet face your Abuelita has...you can just see that she has been a loving person. It's so difficult to give up someone who has been such a big part of your life. You and your family will be in my heart this weekend and I will keep that sweet face in mind all day on Pink Saturday. I wish you peace and the Lord's calming love in your heart. Whatever will be will be for the best.

I am thankful that you had such a good relationship with your grandma. Mine died before I was born. It is a blessing to know and love them. Praying God's presence will be felt with your whole family.
ReplyDeletePlease know that you and your family are in my prayers. Stay strong, and know that the Lord will give you the strength you need to make it through.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Virginia
Love never disappears for death is a non-event.
I have merely retired to the room next door.
You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are.
Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad.
Continue to laugh at what made us laugh.
Smile and think of me.
Life means what it has always meant.
The link is not severed.
Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?
I will wait for you, I am not here, but just on the other side of this path.
You see, all is well.
--St. Augustine
