Blue Monday

Please go on over to Smiling Sally, where today is Blue Monday at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/.

It is a "Blue Monday" for me because part of me is feeling down. We're packing this week and will move this weekend to our new city. There are so many things to be excited about but I'm sad about leaving my family. My mom, sisters, and brother are so special to me. During 2009, I got so much closer to my family.

Since we're packing, we didn't put up Christmas decorations other than a small 2ft tree, a cross, a candle, and the Holy Family. It is the most beautiful Christmas decorating we have ever put up because it hits directly to the heart and soul. My spirit is filled with the true meaning of the season.
Have a blessed week!

  1. I know what it's like to have to leave family when you move. My husband got transferred with his job about 8 months ago which meant we had to move - to a totally different state! I loved living in the same town as my parents so the first few months after we moved was really hard for me. But God has helped me get through that and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are where God wants us to be. I will say a prayer for you.

May you be encouraged as you make this huge transition.

    Take care,
    Karen

  2. Moving is not easy but you will use to it. I always go with hubby when he will work in a construction in different state. We usually stay in a hotel for few months and come back in the summer but after that we are away from home. Happy blue Monday.

  5. Whether or not you decorate, you can still celebrate the REAL meaning of the birth of Christ. Happy Blue Monday.
