Welcome to Nuevo Progreso, Mexico! It is just a few minutes from my home town of Weslaco, TX. I have been there so many times for quick shopping or to take American friends for supper. There are over 11 border crossings in the area, and Nuevo Progreso is one of the smaller towns, which makes it safer and easier to travel.

Main Street is scenic, ancient, exotic, and festive. There are many shops, restaurants, medical offices, and street vendors. It is common to see women and children vendors on the street.

Colorful buildings and outdoor patios line the boulevard.

American tourists visit Mexico for their Restaurants, Textiles, Bars, Crafts, Jewelry, Liquors, Pharmacy, Pottery, Pinatas, Physicans, and Leather goods.
