Thursday ~ Back to School Shopping

I took Thursday off from work so I could take my kids shopping for back-to-school. We have been doing little bits here and there, but there is more to be done. I'm not one to enjoy busy malls but I will "grin & bear" it for my kids. There are a lot of bargin buys out there and I'm going to find them. We live in central Texas so we can head in any direction and easily find malls, outlets, and WalMart. I'm loading up with water, putting on my comfortable shoes, and taking a huge dose of patience.

For Thankful Thursday I give all of my thanks and glory to God. He has helped me raise 2 wonderful teenagers. My son will be in 12th grade and my daughter will be in 10th grade. I am so thankful that God has given me a loving and supportive family of sisters and my mother. I have been a single mother for several years, and in many ways my family has helped me raise my kids.

LOVE THE PICTURES!!
A new friend "Erin" is working on cookbook book. She took these pictures. Her camera quality and skilled technique is so much better than mine. The aprons are my classic signature of "senorita" and polka dots.

For Tablescape Thursday I am going a bit rustic. I think cast-iron pans are wonderful to cook in. I remember my great-grandmother cooking in them, and passing the secret to my grandmother and my mother. They cooked with LOVE and that made the food delicious. And it wasn't ready until there was hot-sauce or peppers on the table.
