Finding God's Purpose for Your Life

A fellow Christian blogger, Ginger invited me to participate in Spiritual Sundays, which is hosted at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/. The blog is co-hosted by Charlotte and Ginger. This is my first participation, and I already feel blessed by the calling of women prayer warriors. Please visit their blog and join in.

"God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start... God rewrote the text in my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes" - Psalms 18:20-24
.
Oh how true the verse. I have been a Christian all of my life, but in November 2008 my life forever changed thanks to an ACTS Women's Retreat that my sister Angela invited me to attend. I was in "pieces" when I layed my life before the Lord. I was broken down and worn out. I was an exhausted single mother feeling lost and frustrated. I knew that God loved me but I felt so far away and alone. "Getting my act together" was not something I did overnight or something I have mastered. In fact, I still struggle with certain areas of my life; but I believe that God sees my effort and rewards my progress. I walked away from the retreat with a deeper faith and trust in God. I asked him to remove my defects of character and any obstacles in my way. I thank God because he has given me a fresh start. I am putting all my faith and trust in him, especially when it comes to my upcoming relocation. I still stress out about the moving details and I have to remind myself that God is in charge. Life is good and getting better. I look forward to God rewriting my life.
.
My dear blogger Sisters in Christ, learn to go where God leads you and always stay on course. Remember to encourage each other through prayer and support. I place my petitions for prayers over my upcoming relocation, and offer my prayers for your heartfelt intentions.
.
All Glory be to God.
Yoli

  4. Yoli, Welcome to Spiritual Sundays! It really is a blessing isn't it to visit so many inspirational and uplifting blogs. Yours was REALLY good. I really like what you were saying about God giving you a fresh start. Praise God that it is true for every one of us. His mercies are new every morning, and I for one am so grateful for that. I too still struggle with certain areas in life, and I believe that is true for everyone. No one will have everything altogether this side of heaven, but when we put God in charge and follow His lead, we are the best place we can be. Blogland is a wonderful place to get support from our fellow sisters in the Lord. Have a great week. Blessings to you, Debbie

  10. Yoli, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my post. It's good to hear from a fellow Texan! New Braunfels is a nice little town that I think anyone with children would love (who doesn't love Schlitterbahn?). I look forward to reading your blog and finding out how your transition to a new home is. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Anita

  13. Hi Yoli,
It is so great to meet you.You have a wonderful testimony ,You are right there is nothing better than our relationship with Jesus, " He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother Or sister."He will never leave you , he will never fail you".God says in Isaiah 41:10 " So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." I will be praying for you this week. I hope everything goes well.

  17. Welcome to Spiritual Sunday. Hope you will join in often. It is a great way to share Jesus Christ.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my post about Jason and Patti's engagement ring. How kind of the Lord to remind us that we are in a legal relationship and a love relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

  19. Hi Yoli,
It is so nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by for a visit the other day and leaving such a sweet comment.

I can empathize with you about your upcoming move. My husband and I relocated because of his job. We left all of our family and friends behind. I had never lived anywhere but in Washington and it was a huge adjustment. I believe now that it helped me to cling more tightly to the Lord through it all. He has a purpose in all of this for you and your family and will bless you beyond your wildest dreams. Just relax my friend and enjoy the incredible journey - it may be filled with twists and turns for awhile, but when you look back later on where you were and how God changed you through it all - you will be awed by His magnificent plan that is always perfect for you.
God's richest blessings to you as you begin this new journey with Him. I look forward to reading more of your blog and getting to know you better. Let us know how we can pray along the way okay?
    Your sister in Christ,
    Kymber
