About Me

Hi, I'm Yoli.  Welcome to my world, the life of a busy Christian single mother.  I have 2 wonderful children and I'm living on faith and prayers.  I work full-time for a great company and I also own an online boutique.  We live in beautiful Hill Country Texas, but I'm originally from deep south Texas.  I am blessed with a wonderful extended family.  My mother and my sisters are strong women of faith, courage, and wisdom.

Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley shaped who I am.  The culture is rich in Hispanic traditions and Texas pride.  We had huge family gatherings with aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Most of the time we were grilling, hearing music, and filling the room with laughter.  The bond that kept us close was our strong Christian faith.  Being a Catholic was who we were and it gave us purpose and direction.

As I look back, I think that Apron Senorita has been within me for over 30 years ago.  When I was a young teenage I  handmade my very first apron.  I used a red floral fabric that my mother had in her fabric inventory.  It was a simple half apron with 2 pockets.  Who would have thought that my passion would have been reborn many years later.

The one sure thing in my life is that I love being a mother.  My kids are my joy and my purpose.  Everyday I thank God for them.  It seems that just yesterday they were in elementary.  I always tried to make holidays fun and eventhough we lived on a tight financial budget, we made the most of what we had.  Today we appreciate our blessings and respect the struggles we had to go through.  My kids grew-up fast through responsibility and maturity.  My son is in college and my daughter will graduate soon.  I'm so proud of them.  I feel deeply blessed and honored to be their mother.  I place them in God's loving hands.  I hope they always reach to the Lord for strength and direction.

Sharing my "Apron Senorita" life is about opening my heart in faith and trust.  It is about celebrating life and sharing stories about our blessings.  I wish you many blessings and hope you follow the Lord with faith.

You should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things that you do and will praise your Father in heaven.
