Tuesday ~ Back to the Basics

I really need to re-evaluate my health. I'm 45 years old and my stress level has been running on high the last 6 months. My eating habits have become fast food and my exercise has taken a back seat to the chaos. Our relocation 6 months ago has been extremely stressful and demanding for me as a single mom and as an employee transferring to a new location. Just when things seemed to be calming down, something else came up. I was juggling excessive job assignments at work and having to come home to be a mom/therapist to my kids who were adjusting to a new high school. That meant that I had to put myself aside for awhile.
.
Yet through it all I knew that God was not giving me more than I could handle. I knew in my heart that God had promised to take care of us during this time, as always. I knew that my sanity and survival was in the Lord's hands. I also knew that I could not run on "empty" for too long. Now the dust is settling a bit and that means that I can allocate more time for my personal health and well-being. I am committing to eating healthier and exercising on a regular basis. My faith is strong!

  1. Yoli - You are on the right path! It's important to reconnect to yourself and the Lord who made you. Too often, I find myself getting caught up in the stuff that really doesn't matter in the long run...I wish for you good blessings, deep breaths and good health. Let God do the steering. :)

  6. Good for you. It seems that we spend so much time taking care of others that it is hard to find time to take care of ourselves. So glad things are beginning to settle down. I love all the salads and fresh fruit. Perfect to help get you back into the groove. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
