Blue Texas Skies

This past weekend I visited with my mother in south Texas. There is no place like home!! My mother has a special way of making each person feel loved. She has a heart the size of Texas. Saturday evening we a few of us gathered in her kitchen to eat a Mexican "botona" for supper. We talked, ate, laughed, and the mother sang a short verse of a Marty Robbins song. The grand kids (Lily & Vinny) loved it and thought it was hilarious. I guess they aren't used to hearing old western songs. So in youthful nature, the kids went to the computer and went on YouTube to bring up the song so they could here them. My mother enjoyed hearing Marty Robbins' songs again and watching him perform. That was the best part of my trip!!!

  5. We used to sing those old songs with my dad when we were kids - and my sister would act them out - hilarious!
